Night Out is part of Cecilia’s Freedom Collection - inspired by Ms. Yeonmi Park’s escape from North Korea. Using New Zealand wool the collection is made up of two hand-knotted and two hand-tufted carpets and uses lines to express order and freedom as her story is told.
The second hand-tufted carpet from the Freedom Collection. Night Out tells the final part of Ms. Yeonmi Park's escape and the freedom of being able to have a night out without fear of repercussion. The bright red moon, is big in the sky and geometric lines shoot off in different directions, representing the freedom to make her own choices. Also available in blue.
